I have worked with dogs and cats most of my life.

Starting in high school, I worked at the local veterinarian clinic.

I helped the veterinarians examine patients and prepared animals for surgery.

This led me into the field of Veterinarian Technician.

I worked as a vet tech for 12 years before moving to Arizona where I worked as a horse groomer for different thoroughbred trainers.

My career took a different path as I became a working mom, raising two children, and   helping my husband who is a race horse trainer.

My love of dogs soon led me into the dog grooming field. I started bathing dogs for a private groomer. Then, by chance I got a job bathing for Petco and from there went into their groomer training program.

I worked for Petco for five years I stared as a bather and trained my way to manager.

I am now employed at Fido's Fun House located at 32nd Street and Bell Road in Phoenix. I am their operations and grooming Manager.

My Veterinarian Technician training gives me an extra advantage in the grooming field because I can identify problems that may need vet attention. Also, the special training I received as a vet tech helps me handle old or difficult dogs and cats.

I joined the APPGA in 2005. Through this organization I continue to learn and fine tune my pet styling techniques.
